In-Home Care To Support You, And Your Baby
Bringing a baby home changes everything—and not just for your newborn. Our postpartum home care services are designed to support you, your recovery, your rest, your confidence, and your entire household.
At Happy Family After, we step in with calm, capable care so you don’t have to figure it all out alone. Whether you’re a first-time parent wondering if you’re doing this “right,” or a seasoned parent who knows just how hard those early weeks can be—we’re here to make it feel lighter, smoother, and a whole lot more supported.
Start with a quick, no-pressure call.
Need help right away? We can move quickly.
Let’s talk terminology.
You’ll hear “postpartum care,” “doula,” and “Newborn Care Specialist (NCS)” — we use them interchangeably because, with us, there’s nothing to choose between. Our caregivers are trained and experienced as both, so you get the best of everything in one (or two!) humans.
You might also hear the term “night nurse.” We don’t use that (we’re not medical professionals), but we are very good at reading baby cues, supporting your recovery, and helping your whole family through the postpartum period.
What Postpartum Home Care Services Actually Look Like
Think of this as real-life support, in your home, with someone who gets it. Your doula (or team of doulas) helps with:
- Newborn care: feeding, sleep, diapering, soothing
- Postpartum recovery (including C-section support)
- Lactation and feeding guidance (without judgment)
- Sleep shaping and routines
- Emotional support (yes, this matters more than you think)
- Light household help—laundry, bottles, meals, tidying
- Sibling transitions and family adjustment
It’s not just help with the baby. It’s help with everything that makes those early weeks feel overwhelming.
Types of Postpartum Home Care Services We Offer
Every family needs something a little different. That’s why we don’t do one-size-fits-all care—we meet you where you are.
Overnight
Postpartum Care
Sleep is not a luxury—it’s essential.
Our overnight doulas care for your baby while you rest, bringing them to you for feeds (if you want), or handling everything so you can get uninterrupted sleep.
Best for:
- Exhausted new parents
- Recovery after birth
- Families who want to feel human again during the day
Live-In
Postpartum Care
Around-the-clock support, right when you need it most.
A live-in doula stays with your family, helping with everything from newborn care to recovery, meals, routines, and emotional support.
Best for:
- First-time parents who want full guidance
- Families without local support
- Multiples, C-section recovery, or complex situations
Sleep Training
& Coaching
Because eventually, everyone needs more than survival-mode sleep.
We help you gently guide your baby toward healthy sleep habits—without rigid rules or one “right” way to do things.
Best for:
- Babies ready for more structured sleep
- Parents who want expert guidance without overwhelm
- Families transitioning out of newborn care
Not sure what you need yet? Perfect. That’s exactly what this call is for.
We’ll help you choose the right mix—overnights, live-in, or a little of both.
An Approach That Feels Like Support—Not Pressure
There are a lot of opinions in the parenting world. We’re not here to add to the noise.
We’re here to:
- Support your parenting choices
- Offer guidance without judgment
- Help you feel confident, not corrected
No pushing. No pressure. No “you should be doing this.” Just experienced, thoughtful care that adapts to your family.
Love From Families Like Yours
When should you book Postpartum Home Care Services?
Most families book in the third trimester—but earlier gives you more flexibility and peace of mind.
That said, we also help families who realize after baby arrives that they need support (it happens all the time).
Why Choose Our Postpartum Home Care Services
Not all postpartum home care services feel the same—and parents can feel that difference immediately.
We’re a Team, Not a Solo Provider
You’re never left scrambling if schedules change or babies arrive early. You have consistent, coordinated care from a team that communicates behind the scenes.
We Care for You, Too

Expertise Without Ego
We bring deep experience in newborn care, lactation, and sleep—but we never make you feel judged, pressured, or “wrong.”
We Fit Into Your Home
(Not the other way around)
No disruption. No awkwardness. Just support that feels natural, respectful, and genuinely helpful.
