Happy Baby, Top 2025 Podcast Episodes from Parenthood Prep Podcast

As always, the Happy Family After and Parenthood Prep podcast teams are looking back at the year just past, making big plans for the upcoming podcast season and making note of all we learned this year in business and production.

I wanted to make a little look-back list for you to give you a quick top 10 (in my opinion!) for the best, most impactful episodes of 2025.

Let me know what you think in the comments or be sure to visit us on instagram.

Love and Happy New Year!

10. Episode 58 – Childcare 101: Pros, Cons, and What No One Tells You In this episode, I walk you through every major type of childcare—from newborn care specialists to daycares to au pairs—and explain what each option actually looks like in real life.

I cover the pros and cons, the surprising costs, what to expect in each setting, and what kind of flexibility (or lack thereof) each option comes with.

9. Episode 65 – Wake Windows Explained: Stop Stressing and Start Sleeping If you’re feeling overwhelmed by the clock, this episode is for you.

I teach you how to use wake windows as a flexible guide (because, spoiler alert, they’re not meant to be a rigid rule). I also explain when to ditch the wake windows for a clock schedule and why your baby’s circadian rhythm craves consistency, not chaos.

8. Episode 43 – Hiring Overnight Newborn Care: What You Need To Know As a baby sleep expert and founder of a newborn care agency for 15 years, I’ve seen it all – the good, the bad, and the sleep-deprived!

That’s why I’ve helped hundreds of families find the right kind of support—without the overwhelm, guesswork, or regret. In episode 43, I share everything I wish more parents knew before hiring a night nurse, overnight doula, or newborn care specialist.

7. Episode 80 – How to Set Intentions (That Actually Stick) Margaret Mason Tate returned to the show and she guest-hosted this time!

Setting New Year’s intentions is a tradition she’s been practicing since she was 17 (yes, she’s that person). In this juicy ep, she shares her tried-and-true method for setting intentions that you can actually follow through on.

6. Episode 59 – Two Babies, One You: The Ultimate Survival Guide to Twins I dive into the unique challenges and surprising blessings of raising twins, triplets, or more—including why routines start earlier, why you absolutely need help (professional or family), and how to survive those crazy newborn nights without losing your mind.

I’ll even share my “magical octopus” technique for feeding and soothing two babies at once (trust me, it’s a thing).

5. Episode 76 – Your Toddler’s Defiance Decoded w/ Devon Kuntzman Devon C. and Devon K. explore Devon Kuntzman’s 3-step recipe for developmentally smart discipline.

Kuntzman explains why toddler tantrums and meltdowns go hand-in-hand, how to respond when your child’s playing in the dog’s water dish, and why addressing behaviors five minutes later can actually be more effective than reacting in the moment.

4. Episode 40 – Schedules: The Secret to Simplifying Parenting In this episode, I dispel some common myths about schedules and share my tips for implementing a flexible routine that works for your family.

I walk you through my favorite bookend scheduling method and explain how having a predictable flow to your day can actually give you more freedom, not less.

3. Episode 66 – Why Swaddling Is Your Newborn’s Best Friend Join me in this episode to learn the power of proper swaddling.

You’ll discover why that “fighting” during the swaddling process doesn’t mean your baby hates being swaddled, and learn exactly when and how to transition away from swaddling as your baby grows.

Most importantly, you’ll gain confidence in creating that snug, womb-like environment that helps newborns feel secure and sleep soundly.

2. Episode 57 – Matrescence: The Word Every New Parent Needs to Know w/ Dr. Ono Nseyo I’m joined by Dr. Ono Nseyo, OB/GYN and host of the Golden Hour podcast.

We talk about why this transition is so wildly under-recognized and under-supported in our healthcare system—and in our culture as a whole.

We dive into everything from postpartum mental health to snapback pressure, identity shifts, and why six-week checkups are nowhere near enough.

1. Episode 69 – The Egg Donation Journey: How My Frozen Eggs Helped Build A Family The story of how a spontaneous offer – “Do you want some eggs?” – sparked a three-year journey through contracts, psychological evaluations, FDA testing, and ultimately, the arrival of baby Audrey Joan.

From the initial “let’s do this” to the emotional rollercoaster it turned into, this episode is all about how egg donation turned into an unexpected gift of life. Audrey is by far the biggest treasure in my 2025, and so she is the number one episode in our Parenthood Prep Podcast.
